FREQUENCY OF WHITE SPOT LESIONS IN ORTHODONTIC PATIENTS VISITING TO KHYBER COLLEGE OF DENTISTRY(KCD) PESHAWAR

Objectives: The determine the frequency of how common white spot lesions in orthodontic patients .Materials and Methods: A total 147 who visited Orthodontics department at Khyber College Dentistry, Peshawar were included study. Intraoral pictures acquired using a DSLR camera before after therapy (6 months fi xed device insertion) (D600). development was evaluated between pre post-therapy photos. SPSS version 20.0 used to analyze data.Results: Eight four female (57.1%) sixty-three males (42.9%). mean age 21.45±4.87 years. overall WSL pre-treatment (2.7%) only. Out patients, 68 (46.3%) had while 79(53.7%) free mid-treatment time. statistically signifi cant having p-value 0.04. stratifi ed by gender showed that females more than males. maximum number cases those from 13 15 years age, followed 26 30 stratification for not 0.602. Conclusion: During rst six treatment, WSLs increased dramatically this clinical investigation. few clinicians should assess patients' dental hygiene must take further precautions prevent occurrence WSL.
